This page is your guide to the weekend.
We want to leave no trace but bring you more; Gather connects you to like minded outdoor adventurers via engaging conversation, meaningful workshops, music, food & drink and of course plenty of great cycling, running and hiking (and river dipping!).
We’re not telling you what to do but we want to ensure you have plenty of opportunities to meet, mix, learn and share. Feel free to dip in and out of the programme as you wish.
There are some exciting new additions to this year’s programme and with all of our usual crowd pleasers making a welcome return, Gather 2023 is set to be a cracker – more details below:
HIGHLIGHTS
The Gather Cat
Our infamous countryside take on the classic ‘Alley Cat’. Last year’s event involved river crossings, spaghetti westerns, meditation, loads of laughs and great vibes. We cannot wait to show you what we have in store for this year.
Chase the Marmot
A new addition to this year’s programme; on Friday evening, our friends at Overland Provisions will be hosting a fun run that’ll involve beers, forests, hills and cow bells. It is all set up to be a belter of an evening.
The Great Escape
Runners and Riders at the ready; setting off from Zero Neuf we head off to a secret mountain top location for a lunch time rendezvous and with multiple routes to choose from there’s a different adventure around every corner.
Cracked Earth
We are delighted to announce that we will be screening Shift Cycling Culture’s new film at this year’s event. A hugely important initiative centred on the existential crisis we all face from climate change, the film captures the lives of cyclists living in areas where climate change is no longer a threat but a daily reality.
Campfire Talk hosted by 200 Magazine
We have chosen to give carte blanche this year to a trend setter magazine and precursor of cycling adventure in France: our friends at 200 Magazine will be leading a firm Gather favourite; our campfire talk (on a soon to be revealed subject….)
La Ride
Simon Boileau and Florent Pierre, authors of the comic book La Ride (and winner of the #FIBD Challenge 2020 at the Angoulême festival), will be present at this year’s Gather to present their eponymous book, published by Dargaud. We’re hoping you’ll also able to buy a copy, get it signed and ride with them to learn more about their adventures!
